WHAT IS A 4-WHEEL ALIGNMENT
A proper wheel alignment will keep your tires wearing even and your vehicle driving properly.
Wheel alignment is very important to the health of your car, crossover, truck, or SUV. If you hit a massive pothole, your suspension may be bumped out of the calculated locations that the components have set. The elements that go into making your car go straight are collectively called “alignment”. Wheel alignment is sometimes called “tracking” and consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are set to the specifications of the car maker. If your wheels alignment is off or out it can cause excessive tire wear and steering problems. The general rule of thumb is to get your alignment checked at least once a year and anytime you have new tires installed. Checking your alignment if the vehicle suspension sustains an impact like driving over a large pothole or running over a curb is also recommended.
At Honda of New Rochelle, we believe that the best alignment for your vehicle is a 4-wheel alignment. Anything less than a 4-wheel alignment is an incomplete job. The technician will place an instrument on all four of your vehicle’s wheels and provide an initial reading of the current angles present before adjustments are made. Then the technician will make all necessary adjustments to bring your vehicle back to Factory specifications. A final reading of all suspension angles will then be taken and you will be provided with before and after readings.
